We reject the politics of division. We will not support politicians who seek to use race, class or single issues to divide us. We know that active participation in the political process is the best method of achieving our goals of building our communities, securing jobs that pay a living wage and providing education and healthcare to all regardless of where they live. We will vote and we will engage other voters to participate also.

Building our communities will require investment in schools and infrastructure in both rural and urban areas.

First responders and teachers serve our communities and we know that attracting quality people into those professions will depend on honoring the commitments made to them throughout their careers.

Anyone who works a fulltime job should not live in poverty. We believe that all workers will benefit from a increased minimum wage and workers rights to bargain.

Taxes should be fair to low and middle income families. The quality of education for our children should not depend where they live and the burden of taxes should not be less for those with the highest incomes.

Healthcare is right for everyone. We recognize that the uninsured make Health Insurance more expensive for those who have it. We believe that everyone should be covered so that medical providers are paid to treat the sick and injured.
